The local Jewish daily, the “Yiddische Stimme”, has been fined a sum of 1,000 Litas (about $100) for criticising the Government. The “Yiddische Stimme” has been in trouble with the authorities before, having been fined an enormous sum because of an article protesting against the Election Commission’s interpretation of the Electoral Law.
