Benjamin Schlesinger, for nearly 10 years President of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union, has tendered his resignation to the Central Executive Board meeting in Montreal last night. Mr. Sclesinger’s telegram to the newspapers was as follows:

“Have resigned as President of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union and am coming back tomorrow morning à free man. The resignation goes into effect immediately. The General Executive Board has made all the necessary arrangements that my leaving should in no ay interfere with the organization campaigns which the International has undertaken. The main reason for my resignation is the sincerely the general membership of our great international Union for their trust and confidence in me during the almost 10 years that I was their chief spokesman, and I wish them and the whole labor movement every success in the future.”
