A large number of Jewish students were injured in anti-Jewish riots which broke out anew following a students’ demonstration Wednesday evening in front of the Royal Palace. Newspapers which had condemed anti-Jewish violence were burned at bonfires.

In Consequence of the new excesses the authorities have closed the University until February 8. Jewish merchants are clearly terrified, many closing their shops.

Interpellations, it is announced, will be submitted by Jewish and pro-Jewish members in both the Senate and the Chamber.
