Rabbis’ Ban on Jewish Corpses Causes Baptisms, is Charge

The action of the Warsaw Rabbinate in refusing to authorize the use of Jewish corpses for dissection work in the medical schools has led to a vigorous protest by the Jewish students who charge that the attitude of the rabbis will drive many medical students to baptism.

The Polish medical schools, the, students point out, will not permit Jewish students to practice dissection on Christian corpses. The Jewish students will thus have no other recourse in view of the Rabbis’ ruling but apostacy, they aver.
