The question of Joining hands with the Misrachi was discussed at yesterday a session of the ultra-orthodox Agudah Israel, Rabbi Rosenheim announcing that the Agudath Harabonim had sent a special delegation of Misrachi to the Agudath Israel who desired to negotiate an alliance between the two organizations.

Rabbi Rosenbaum discussing the question urged that the Agudah seek to enlist new members but expressed himself against the admission of other organization.

Rabbi Perlmutter also spoke to the same effect interpreting the Biblical text, “Thou shalt now plow with an ox and an ass” as against the co-working of the two organizations.

Attacks on the regular Zionist movement were made by Rabbi Brauer, who declared that “the diapora would not be ended by political moves or by the will of a man, but would come only when the people returned to God and his Torah.” Palestine, he declared, at present is a much part of the Goluth as any other country.

It is being proposed that a central body of 100 of the Agudah meet annually but that the “Kenisiah Gedolah” or larger convention be assembled only once in five years.
