Jewish Millionaire’s Bequest to Roumania; Heirs Make No Appeal

The huge bequest of one milliard lei. (about £1,200,000) left by the Jewish millionaire, Jacqes Elias, for Roumanian cultural and charitable purposes was formally handed over to the Roumanian Academy. None of the heirs appealled against the will.

The distribution of the Endowment Fund will begin in October.
