A general protest throughout the Jewish circles of Lithuania is being registered against the selection of Rosh Hashona as the day for the national census.

Great indignation is especially felt against the former Minister for Jewish Affairs, M. Freedman, who, it is said, was asked about the date in advance to its selection and gave his approval of the Rosh Hashona day.

Jews are making every effort to have the date changed.
