A special pre-holiday appeal in behalf of the war sufferers of Europe is made by the American Jewish Relief Committee.
The Committee cites a cablegram from Dr. Boris Bogen just received which declares that unless the relief work is continued another year all the splendid results so far attained will collapse.
Mr. Louis Marshall in a letter to Oscar Berman, treasurer of the Cincinnati Branch also points out that the distress is far from past and calls upon all who made pledges to the fund to pay up.
“Those who have not as yet met their subscriptions would not feel otherwise than humiliated if the idea went forth that they have abandoned in midstream those who have relied upon them”, Mr. Marshall writes.
