Preparations are being made throughout Lithuania for the elections to the Jewish National Assembly, which, in accordance with its constitution, is to elect the Jewish National Council. The list of candidates was published yesterday, and the elections will be held a fortnight later.
A number of district conferences of Jewish communal organizations in Lithuania will take place next week, at which the Minister for Jewish Affairs, Dr. S. Rosenbaum will be present.
