The professorial staff of the local Agricultural University has issued a statement declaring that in the future it will not permit any Jews to occupy any place on the faculty.

The German students are right, the statement adds, in contending that the Jews are obstructing the progress of modern culture and ideals.

The statement is signed by Herr Fischer, president of the University. Jewish university men and teachers are much aroused. Never before has in Vienna such an unashamed anti-Semitic statement been issued by their Christian colleagues.
