“Inquiries have been made as to the status of my suit for libel against Henry Ford and The Dearborn Independent”, Herman Bernstein, editor of the Jewish Tribune today said. “As is know, cash of Mr. Ford amounting to $115,834.74 has been attached and has never been released.

“I am informed by my attorney, Mr. Samuel Untermyer, that before the time to answer my complaint expired, Mr. Ford and The Dearborn Independent removed the case from the State Court to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, on the theory that the defendants are non-residents of the State of New York. The petition for removal was filed on October 31. The record must be filed in the United States Court by November 30 and the answers of the defendant are due thirty days thereafter”.
