The first day of the Hebrew calendar month of Kislev has been decreed by Chief Rabbi Ehrentreu as a day offasting and prayer for the next ten years in commemoration of the averting of the pogrom on B ovarian Jewry November 8, when the Hitler-Ludendorff putoch miecarried.

Devout Jews are inclined to regard the failure of the putsch as nothing short of a divine miracle.
