A National scholarship of $5,000, has been placed at the disposal of the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, by the combined Jewish Women’s Organizations of this city, according to an accouncement made today by Mrs. S. Belle Cohn, Chairman of the Committee.

The Jewish Scholarship Fund announcement follows the recent naming of an Italian Scholarship Fund by the Italian residents of this city, which was also placed at the disposal of the Woman’s Medical College.

In honor of the late Miss Esther Baum, well known Jewish charity worker, who was widely interested in the education of girls, the scholarship has been named “The Esther Baum Medical scholarship” and is to be annually awarded to a Jewish woman student who desired to study medicine.
