The secular Jewish schools will not be able to reopen with the beginning of the new school year, announces the Administration of the schools to-day, unless the Jewish population provides sufficient financial support. The position at present is critical, and unless some change takes place soon thousands of Jewish children will be deprived of their educational facilities.

The Board of the Warsaw Municipal Council rejected an applicationof the Central Jewish School organization for a subsidy of 25,000 Ziotis (about $5000). Hitherto, the Jewish schools were supported by Jewish relief organizations of America.
