Boris Savinkoff, arrested for entering Russia under a false passport, was sentenced to-day to death by a revolutionary tribunal. The tribunal, however, has recommended his mercy because of the fact that he had admitted his guilt, has renounced the counter-revolutionary idea, has acknowleged his mistake, and declared that all those who love the Russian nation must recognize the Soviet Government, When notified of this recommendation, Savinkoff declared: “I expect death. I ask for no pity but remember that I too-wasa revolutionary fighter.”
