American Legion to Have Jewish Chaplain

The American Legion in Illinois will have as its Chaplain a Jewish Rabbi. The candidate for this post is Rabbi Mayer Lippman, who served in the American Army in France. He will be nominated to this office by Protestant minister, Rev. Arthur Ewert, who is now the State Chaplain and will be endorsed by the Catholic Priest, Father Lonergan.
