In connection with the recent Brigand attacks in Syria, the British gendarme arrested the Emir Machamud Faour at Safed. He is imprisoned in Acre pending the result of an investigation following the out-break of Brigandage in Transjordania. A number of high government officials were charged with complicity in these outbursts. British officials have mad representations concerning that fact to the Transjordanian government.

Prime Minister Al Risa remained however, in office in spite of the accusations directed against him.
