Headed by followers of the “free professions” -lawyers doctors and engineers, a group of Jewish students and recent graduates of Polish universities numbering 76 arrived in Palestine towards the end of August on a so-called “academic tour”.

Representatives of the Immigration Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive met the tourists on disembarkation at Jaffa, whence, after spending a few days in Tel Aviv, the group proceeded on Sunday, August 24th, to Jerusalem. A reception for the visitors was arranged by the Palestine Zionist Executive at the Deth Ha’ Am August 26th, where they were welcomed by the heads of the Jerusalem Maccabeans and others. After two days in Jerusalem the group left for an automobile tour of the country, the tour covering, principally, the Keren Hayesod settlements on the Jewish National Fund estates.

On Friday, August 30th, a group of young Jewish tourists arrived from Italy and were received by officials of the Palestine Zionist Executive in Jaffa and by the Jewish National Fund in Jerusalem.
