With an agreement reached concerning the question of Palestine and the realization of the necessity of Jewish education, three parties, usually antagonistic to each other, have united for the elections of the local Kehillah.

The Zionists, the Agudas Israel and the Union of Austrian Jews have formed one election bloc to be known as the United Jewish Parties.

Their platform includes a program for Palestine work and the enlarging of the Jewish religious educational system for the growing generation. The platform also guarantees liberty to the various Jewish religious tendencies, but insists that the liturgy continue in Hebrew.

Other parties contesting in the election are the Misrachi, the Social Democrats combined with the Poalei Zion, and the Economic Party.
