The cost of settling one Jewish family on the land would be 1,500 Gold rubles, according to the estimate of Mereshin, the chairman of the Yevsektzia, in his report read at the second meeting of the official “Committee for Settling Jews on the Land” held in Moscow today. The cost of settling 3,000 families would therefore be 4,500,000 rubles, or $2,500,000.

A committee consisting of Mereshin, Letzis, and Anzelowitch was appointed to work out detailed plans. (Continued on Page 4)
