Mr. Rosenwald denies the report published by the “World” today to the effect that the sluggish progress made by Sears’ Roebuck Company in the past three years was due to the boycott of its goods by the Ku Klux Klan which was aroused by the action of Mr. Julius Rosenwald in expending millions of dollars for the betterment of the Negroes, and that the resignation of Mr. Rosenwald from the presidency of Sears Roebuck a few days ago was due to the pressure directed by the Ku Klux Klan.

Mr. Rosenwald in his telegram to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency states, “Not a scintilla of truth in report referred to in your telegram. No evidence of harm from that source has been noticeable in the slightest degree (Signed) Julius Rosenwald.”
