General Weygand, High Commissioner of Syria, visited the Alliance Israelite Universelle school in Jerusalem. One of the pupils welcomed the Syrian High Commissioner in a speech in French. A teacher welcomed him in Hebrew.
General Weygand praised the work of the Alliance Israelite Universelle in Palestine and stated he was glad to hear the Hebrew language spoken in Palestine.
