Manrice Swartz, director of the Yiddish Art Theatre, at the invitation of the Menorah Society, read the first act of Sh. An-ski’s play. “The Dibbuk”, in the Little Theatre of New York University.

Several hundred students were present.

David Varbi and Chava Yoalith of the Moscow Hebrew theatre. Ha’Bima, will leave shortly for a ## through the United States, under the management of Edwin Relkin.

The two actors toured Europe last year when they visited Palestine.

A special farewell evening will be arranged for the two distinguished artists on December 8, by a group of Jewish writers, communal workers and artists at the Jewish Art Theatre.

Mrs. M. C. Stoss, wife of a former justice of the Supreme Court of California, has been elected a member of the board of directors of Temple Emanu-El, San Francisco, to take the place of Mrs. Sophie Likienthal, who resigned because of ill health.
