Plans for the establishment of a modern eye hospital and post graduate ophthalmological school in Jerusalem, which is to be a part of the medical department of the Hebrew University, were discussed recently by the American Jewish Physicians’ Committee, the Palestine Foundation Fund and the Hadassah, the Zionist Woman’s Organization of America, the Jewish Daily Bulletin learns today.
Dr. Joseph Krimsky, a director of the committee, is sailing for Europe next Saturday on the Acquitania, in connection with this plan. He intends to make a study of the eye hospitals and clinics in the medical centers of Europe, preceding the final arrangements for the Palstine hospital.
