Rabbi Isaac Friedman, famous Rabbi of SadiGora, Chassidic leader of many thousands of followers, died yesterday morning at the age of 89.

The Rabbi of Sadigora, who was a descendant of one of the Rabbinical families which exercised great influence on the life of the Jewish masses in Galicia and Russia, arrived in the United States for a short visit on June 12th. He had intended sailing for Europe on Nov. 26th. Yielding, however, to the request of his followers, he consented to prolong his stay. The Rabbi had not been feeling well lately, and it was reported that despite the fact that the state of his health compelled him to decrease the number of visitors he consented to seeing, he refused to have any physician examine him. It was only twelve hours before his death that Dr. Held was summoned.
