The political situation in Palestine was was the subject of discussion at a conference of Palestinian Moslems which took place here yesterday.
The conference considered particularly the situation which was created after the cancellation by the Palestine High Court of the elections to the Moslem Supreme Council of Palestine. The conferefice decided that, in accordance with the Turkish law which still obtains in the country, the Moslem communities should appoint committees to arrange new elections to the Council.
A resolution adopted at the conference expressed the beliet that the government will approve this decision of the Moslem Council and the Arab Executive.
It was learned here from good authority that the failure of El Husseini, the secretary of the Palestine Arab Executive, known as an extreme opponent of the Palestine government, and the victory of Nashashibi, the Arab mayor of Jerusalem, who is moderate in his attitude toward the government, is certain in the forthcoming elections.
