The last word of the Palestine government on the question of reorganization of the Palestine and Transjordanian frontier force, which caused great discussion in Palestine and resounded throughout Jewish communities the world over, was given out yesterday when a special issue of the Palestine official Gazette was published.

The special issue contains the text of the ordinance promulgated by the Palestine government concerning the organization of the frontier force. The text contains the conditions of enlistment, discipline, resignation and punishment. Contrary to a previous text, which contained a clause excluding Jews from the force and which caused the indignation of the Palestine Jewish population, the present text of the ordinance makes no mention of the racial composition of the force.

The ordinance authorizes the High Commissioner to employ the force outside of the mandated territory if necessary for the defense of Palestine and Transjordania.
