An attempt on the life of Modigliani, Italian Socialist leader and prominent member of the Jewish community of Naples, was made by the Fascisti last night.

Modigliani was seriously wounded. It was stated that the reason for the attack was the fact that he acted as counsel for the widow of the murdered socialist deputy, Matteotti.
