(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Rabbi Niemierower, Chief Rabbi of Old Roumania, will be the temporary representative of the Jewish population in the Roumanian Senate, pending the organization of the Federation of Jewish Communities in greater Roumania, according to a statement made by the Federation of Jewish Communities in Old Roumania to the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here.

The Jews in Roumania have the right, under the constitution and the electoral law, to have their representative in the Senate with the right to vote. Because of the fact that the reorganization of the Jewish communities in Roumania has not been completed, the Jewish population has been unable to exercise its right up to the present. The present action has been decided upon in order to prevent this clause from remaining unobserved.
