Over 100 houses were destroyed in a fire which broke out here last night.
More than 200 families remained roofless. The majority of the houses were located in the Jewish quarters.
The Pisgah Lodge of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith dedeicated its $150,000 Home and Community Center in Detroit on Sunday.
The dedication opened with the initiation of a class of four hundred.
Nearly a thousand people filled the new auditorium to hear Rabbis Franklin and Herschman. Reverend Lynm Hauch and Sam J. Jean, President of District Lodge No. 6.
The Mayor extended greetings to the new home.
