All work in Jewish offices, factories and institutions in Palestine stopped at 1:30 p. m. today, as tribute to the late Dr. Max Nordau, philosopher and Zionist leader, whose remains were brought to Palestine today from France.

The coffin arrived at 7:30 this morning in Tel Aviv, where representatives of the municipality and various institutions and organizations met it. The body was transferred to the Town Hall, escorted by the Maccabee scouts. On its way the procession halted at the Great Synagogue where a religious ceremony was held. Thousands of inhabitants came to see the body lying in state in the municipal pavilion.
