A new translation of the Bible into German was undertaken by Dr. Martin Buber, well known German Jewish writer and Dr. Rosenzweig, founder of the Jewish Seminary at Frankfort am Main.

Many Catholics and Protestants are supporting this undertaking. While following the Luther translation, the new translation will present the Bible in modern German.
