M. Zbena, notorious leader of Hungarian pogrom bands, responsible for the death of hundreds of Jews during the Hungarian White Terror reign in 1921, was released from prison by an act of clemency on the part of Admiral Horthy. Regent of Hungary.

Zbena, together with a number of other pogrom leaders, conducted their atrocities in a forest near Orgovanyi. Several of his accomplices, who were arrested with him, were released some time ago.
