The French administration of Syria will have to pay the amount of several hundred million francs for damages to the property of Syrian citizens, as a result of the war in Syria. The Lebanese government has received at least five thousand claims for indemnity from private citizens.

The French High Commissioner has established a special office in Paris to take care of the economic interests of Syria and the Lebanon abroad.
