Reports of the Communist press in Russia concerning D. Pasmanik, Russian Jewish leader affiliated with monarchist circles, were denied by Mr. Pasmanik in a statement issued to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here.
The Communist press reported that Pasmanik will appear as an attorney at Schwartzbard’s trial, representing the Petlura group. Many articles in the Soviet press were devoted to a discussion of this report, in which Pasmanik was attacked. Mr. Pasmanik declared in his statement that there is no foundation in these rumors as he is taking no part whatsoever in the case.
