Leib Joffe, one of the directors of the Keren Hayesod, was received by Titulescu, Roumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Roumanian government sympathizes with the Zionist movement and is ready to lend its support in the upbuilding of the Jewish National Home, the Minister stated.

Mr. Joffe addressed the Minister in Hebrew. Mr. Mibaschan, well known Roumanian Hebrew author, served as interpreter.

A celebration of the ninth anniversary of the Balfour Declaration was held in the Temple on Sunday. Foreign Minister Titulescu, the British Ambassador and the British Consul General were present. Chief Rabbi I. Niemirower in his address thanked the British Government for the Balfour Declaration. The Roumanian and British national hymns and the Hatikvah were sung.
