Palestine Chief Rabbi Urges Support for Keren Hayesod in Critical Hour

An appeal to the Jews of the world to support the Palestine Foundatior Fund, the main financial instrument of the Zionist Organization, was issued by Rabbi A. J. Kook, Chief Rabbi of Palestine.

The appeal emphasizes the critical hour through which the work of up-building Palestine is now passing and asks for generous contributions.

BREVITIES

The name of Philip B. Perlman, former City Solicitor, has been mentioned as a possible Democratic candidate for Mayor of Baltimore, Md. The primary election will be held in the spring.

Mr. Perlman has served as Assistant Attorney-General of Maryland and Secretary of State.

Among the winners in the seven national contests for musical honors held on Nov. 1 under the auspices of the Sesquicentennial Music Committee and the National Women’s Federation of Music Clubs, is Julius Kahn of New York. The winners are to receive $500 each.
