A proposal for the adoption of the monarchical system in Syria has been suggested by Ramadan Pasha.
Ramadan Pasha, who was the first insurgent leader to surrender to the French, has communicated a proposal to the Syrian High Commissioner to adopt a monarchial system and suggested Sheriff Ali Haidar Pasha as the fittest candidate for the throne.
