Acting on the theory that attack is the best means of defense, leaders of Roumanian anti-Semities have started a parliamentary offensive to cover up their responsibility for the anti-Jewish excesses in the country.

The Cuzist group of deputies yesterday submitted an interpellation in which the government is urged to “protect the students from the provocations of the aliens.”

Another interpellation of the Cuzists was introduced by Deputy Jilescu. He questioned the government as to why Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Roumanian Jews, has not been arrested if it is true, as the papers report, that compromising documents were found in the offices of the Union.

Professor Shumulyani introduced an interpellation in which he alleges that the Roumanian judges in Czernowitz are under “Jewish influence” and demands that the government institute an investigation into the matter.
