One of the accusations of the German anti-Semites was exploded yesterday by Herr Braun, premier of the Prussian government.

In leaflets and in newspaper articles circulated by the Deutschnationale, it was alleged that Prime Minister Braun had started at a secret meeting of the party council, that a certain Jew, Oppenheimer, collected the amount of four million marks for the purpose of “revolutionizing Prussian peasantry.” Today, Braun declared that in 1920 Professor Franz Oppenheimer, well known agricultural expert, advocate of agrarian reforms, demanded that the Prussian government set aside state land for settling Christian workers and a special government fund to supply the settlers with the means of carrying on the work. This plan of Professor Oppenheimer is considered excellent by the government, which is ready to support it, the premier stated.
