Italian Government Appoints Anti-zionist As Jerusalem Consul

Deputy Fedrazzi, known as an opponent of the Zionist movement in Italy, was appointed Italian Consul General in Jerusalem.

Deputy Fedrazzi is the author of several works on Italy’s Near East policy. He has visited Palestine several times and has written a book in which he attacked the Zionist movement. In an address which he delivered recently in the Italian parliament, he declared that Zionism is an obstacle in the way of Italy’s expansion in Asia Minor and is a contradiction to the Italian Catholic traditions in the Holy Land.
