Jewish Poet in Roumania Wounded by Police Agents

The Jewish labor poet, Kahane, was shot in Clausenburg by agents of the Siguranza, the Roumanian secret police. Kahane was wounded seriously in both legs. a despatch to the vienna “A bend” states.

The agents of the secret police claim that Kahane attempted to escape from the prison where he was held. As a result of the wounds, his left leg had to be amputated. Blood poisoning has set in in his right foot.
