A protest meeting against the anti-Jewish excesses in Roumania was held on Sunday at the Standard Theatre.
The theatre was filled to capacity and two overflow meetings were held. Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman presided at the meeting. Father Minehan, Reverend Dr. Bland of the United Church, and A. Rhinewine, editor of the “Toronto Hebrew Journal” delivered addresses.
A resolution of protest against the anti-Jewish atrocities was moved by Dr. Bland and amended by Rabbi Isserman to include other religious minorities. The resolution will be forwarded to Premier King, with a request to submit the matter to the League of Nations.
