Exile from Lithuania’s capital was the punishment meted out to a Jewish newspaperman by the Lithuanian authorities for publishing a true report, despatches received here from Kovno state.

One of the members of the editorial staff of the “Yiddische Stimme”, Jewish newspaper of Kovno, was deported from the city because he published a report of the execution of the Jewish Socialist, Melamid, notwithstanding the fact that the report was passed by the Lithuanian press censor.
