The Jewish community of Vienna is split along class lines in the forthcoming national elections.

While the middle class elements are supporting the Jewish Election Committee which has put forward a Jewish list, the Poale Zion labor party is conducting an energetic campaign against the Jewish list and is supporting the Social Democrats.

Simultaneously, the Poale Zion party is collecting signatures to a petition to the Social Democratic Party, requesting it to alter its attitude toward the national minorities and toward the Zionist movement.
