A conference of the Board of Directors of the United Palestine Appeal will take place Sunday, May 22, at the Pennsylvania Hotel.
The call to the conference was issued by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, honorary chairman. Judge William M. Lewis, chairman, Emanuel Naumann and Bernard Stone. The sessions will begin at ten o’clock.
Many leading contributors to the fund were invited, although they are not members of the Board, in view of the fact that the conference is expected to take action on important matters affecting the situation in Palestine.
A. J. Freiman, of Ottawa, was appointed a member of the National Committee for the Celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Confederation of Canada.
Mr. Freiman is the Dominion President of the Zionist Organization of Canada and is also widely known throughout the Dominion for his communal interests.
