Palestine citizens wishing to enter Latvia have hitherto had to deposit a certain sum as guarantee in the same way as persons who are Staatenlose, men without a country. The Ministry of the Interior held that Palestine being a mandated territory was not to be treated as if it were a British Dominion.

Deputy Rabbi Nurok intervened with the Premier and the Minister for Foreign Affairs on the matter and as a result of his intervention an order has now been issued under which Palestine citizens are free to enter Lativia if they hold the necessary visa. Circulars to this effect have been issued to all Latvian legations abroad.
