Head of French Jewish Volunteers’ Body Dies

Over 50,000 people attended the funeral of the late Carlo Sklarg, honorary President of the Society of Jewish Volunteers who served in the French army during the World War.

Chief Rabbi Israel Levi, M. Henri Torres, Counsel for Sholom Schwartzbard, and representatives of many Jewish organizations were present.

The coffin was draped in the Tricolor and the funeral took place with full military honors.
