Lithuanian Jews Resent “le Figaro’s” Attack on Sholom Schwartzbard

The attack on Sholom Schwartzbard by “Le Figaro”, which is owned by the French perfume manufacturer, Coty, called forth wide resentment in eastern Europe.

In consequence of the attack, many Jews are boycotting Coty’s perfumes Melnik, a Jewish manufacturer here, returned a flacon of perfumes to the French manufacturer. In his letter, Melnik stated that he had used Coty’s preparations since he had been in business but he was giving them up and advised his friends to act similarly.
