Over 10,000 Polish Jews assembled at the Warsaw depot to bid farewell to Rabbi Abraham Mordecai Alter, Chassidic Rabbi of Gora Kalwarija, one of the most influential Chassidic rabbis in Poland when he departed for Palestine yesterday.
The Rabbi, accompanied by forty of his close followers, went for a three months visit to the Holy Land. Several hundred of his followers accompanied him to the frontier.
